I'll stamp all over 'legitimate combatant' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the combatants confronted each other to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.

Ex two-time world heavyweight champion Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Fighter's Mentality

"I will damage his features and damage his physique. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I will seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Respectful Exchange

Despite those words, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically recognized for his dramatics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul rather attacked former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian turned down a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at British rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he's present here," Joshua stated.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Fighter

Despite declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

However, the relative newcomer continues to be one of boxing's largest money-making draws, consistently making substantial financial rewards.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old forecast a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would derail the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.

"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.

Physical Disparity

As the two fighters met for the customary confrontation, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it highlighted just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the match is truly happening.
